Salland Engineering is growing fast. This year, we are doubling our effective workspace, further expanding our testers and investing heavily in new technologies, including innovation in the field of photonics. As part of a global player in the semiconductor test market, we combine international strength with the freedom and short lines of communication of Salland in Zwolle.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will focus on hardware development and design verification, working with the latest technology to create advanced instrumentation for semiconductor testing. You are solution driven and always aiming for the best result, collaborating closely with your team and other experts to design, simulate, and evaluate both analog and digital hardware solutions that improve the performance and usability of our measurement instruments.

You’ll apply your knowledge of electronic design, hardware test methodologies and  programming to develop and validate hardware that meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Most of your work will take place at our headquarters in Zwolle, with opportunities to engage with customers.

What you will be doing in your role

  • Designing and verifying innovative electronic hardware for semiconductor instruments

  • Collaborating with the development team on hardware, firmware and software.

  • Performing hardware simulations and design verification.

  • Improving hardware performance and usability.

  • Supporting development with hardware testing and programming.

  • Keeping up with new technologies to drive innovation.

Job requirements

What do we ask of you

  •  A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in (embedded) electronics. 

  • At least 5 years of experience in analog and digital electronics, covering the full hardware design process from schematic capture to PCB design.

  • Familiarity with hardware simulation and design verification.

  •  Experience and interest in basic programming C++, C#, Python.

  • Strong communication skills and a true team player.

  •  Master the Dutch and English language.

  •  You live in the Netherlands and are within a one-hour travel distance.

  • If you are not a Dutch or EU citizen, you already hold a valid Dutch work visa.

  • At least 3 years of experience.
