This department develops ATE-instruments and their parts, the so-called IP-blocks. Such a customized instrument can turn an existing ATE back into a state-of-the-art product again. The clientele consists of both leading ATE-suppliers and chip manufacturers with their own testing machines.
Developing an instrument is a comprehensive task. With regards to projects, engineers of the entire department work together: Hardware, Firmware and Software Engineers (for the drivers that steer the instrument). They do this while being supervised by an ‘architect’; a highly experienced Hardware Engineer.
