The Test application department of Salland Engineering B.V. delivers turn key ATE test solutions. This Test solution starts with an investigation of what parameters need to be tested and how these different parameters are tested on an ATE system. This investigation boils down to a written document called ETS (Electrical test specification) and a draft schematic. The draft schematic is used as a basis for the hardware development, which results in a loadboard. The ETS acts as a basis for software development. When hardware and software are ready the so-called debug phase is executed. Finally the whole test solution is examined using a gage R&R study.

Assignment:
Some test solutions need to have additional hardware on the loadboard (next to the measurement instruments available at the tester). Your task is to develop a loadboard checker for an existing loadboard. This loadboard checker needs to check all, or at least as much as possible, hardware using the instruments of the tester. All tests performed in this loadboard checker need to be explained and written in the ETS. Finally, all tests performed in the loadboard checker need to be examined using a gage R&R study.

During this internship you will need to learn and understand the capabilities and options of an ATE. Further you will need to understand the purpose of the hardware on the loadboard. Finally, one will get knowledge about data analysis by creating a report using D+.

Deliverables:

• Make detailed descriptions of the different tests for the loadboard checker.
• Implement the tests (software) for the loadboard checker
• Create a data analysis (Gage R&R) report using D+
• Pro and Cons of the chosen tests
